Studio macro

I found a skeleton of a hydrangea bract that must have lain all winter on the soil somewhere, and blown into my garden just recently, somehow still intact. I love its fragile and ephemeral beauty, and the structure that is all that remains of last year's colour. It's only about 2cm across at its widest so the only way of getting a good image was to set up the camera with the tripod and the macro lens. This is something that I can rarely be bothered to do but this lovely little thing will disintegrate before long so it seemed worth the effort to get a good image.
